On-The-Device Backup
Using ZZsetup, you select which databases and programs to backup from a list of all programs and databases on the device. Then when you tap ZZbackup, BackupPro copies the selected programs and database from volatile RAM memory to non-volatile Flash memory.
When you tap ZZrestore, such as after a hard reset or whenever you need to restore your programs and data, BackupPro will copy your backed-up (in Flash memory) programs and data back to RAM memory.
Value Added Resellers
VARs and Palm software developers can use BackupPro to protect their software products on the devices they load and deploy. They will use BackupPro to provide their customers a one-TAP restore of their critical program and databases in case they experience a hard reset. This support will dramatically reduce the VAR help desk support requirements. BackupPro also includes a Flash memory software developer kit (SDK) that includes several application Programmer Interfaces (API). VARs can use these APIs to create their own backup and restore tools if the standard BackupPro functions do not meet their needs.

Compatibility
BackupPro is a specialized subset of TRG's FlashPro and FlashPack, and as such, if BackupPro is installed on a device that already has FlashPro installed, the FlashPro product will be replaced by BackupPro. If desired, the full FlashPro can then be re-installed.
So basically just send them the "BadCodeReg.prc" file, and have them run it. The program will create a memopad entry which the user just needs to HotSync into Palm Desktop, then cut/paste it to a e-mail sent back to the tech support person.

On the status screen it displays the current battery status, the battery warning and critical threshold, whether or not the device is plugged in (battery is charging) and the battery type. It also shows the number of records in the database and the current size in kilobytes. Furthermore it show the last detected charge date and time and how long the device has been switched on and off since then. It will also show the amount of on-time for today.
On the statistics screen it will show the average/minimum/maximum ontime per day over a selectable period. It also shows the avg/min/max number of times per day during that period as well as the average time between switch-on and switch-off.
